2022 State Planning Conference
Virtual (On-Demand) Conference Registration is available online.
The 2022 Arizona State Planning Conference was held at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona on August 24-26.
This year we are looking to invigorate our planning efforts moving forward while leaving inequitable, unsustainable, and downright planning practices in the past. Join us as we jump back in time to the 80’s while we look forward to what’s next. This year's conference will offer 30 sessions and 4 mobile workshops covering such topics as statewide and national planning trends, affordable housing, sustainability, economic development, land use and policy innovations, mobility advancements, and rural planning.
Patricia Algara, founder of award-winning BASE Landscape Architecture and With Honey in the Heart, a non-profit that creates healthy habitats for and educates people about pollinators, and co-founder of the Algarden Demonstration Urban Farm, a center for permaculture education and natural beekeeping. Patricia will present and reflect on how her love for bees has led her on a path that transformed how she approaches design as activism while harnessing the creative process.
